Step Two: Install the MAMP Server

Step Six: Put WordPress in the htdocs of MAMP

You can now go to the directory of MAMP in the drive system of your computer. Open the ‘htdocs’ folder that is found inside the MAMP directory and then pastes the unpacked WordPress theme there.

Step 7: Install WordPress on the Localhost

Type WordPress/localhost (the name of your WordPress file in htdocs) on the address bar of your browser and then hit the enter tab. You can now perform a few additional actions so as to complete the installation process. Choose your preferred language and then hit on the ‘continue’ tab. After that, click the ‘Let’s go’ button on the preceding page.

Provide all the Required Information

This page needs the Database Name that you had created earlier is step three. Both the username and password are key as pointed out in the MAMP installation success page. Click Pending on the submit button that is at the bottom and then hit on ‘Run the Installation’ on the same page.

Complete the Installation Process with Admin Info

Give you site an email address, password, username, and title. You can now click on the ‘Install WordPress’ button that is at the bottom. You will have successfully installed WordPress on your computer and you can log into your site.
